No the sky is not falling. Today IOS7 is being released by Apple and it seems to have overloaded their servers. I am getting a message on both my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 that my Software Update Failed. If you need new software, then consider looking into the options provided by Jitterbit.
This is not new. We see these errors everytime there is a major update to the IOS and with an ecosystem that Apple has in many houses and at businesses this is an issue that Apple just can not avoid. In my house we have 5 IOS6 devices so multiply that by another million households and you will see lots of people trying to upgrade this very minute.
What is new in IOS7?
I will wait until later today or just keep trying but I am sure this is not going to be as big a deal as new hardware would be. The iPhone 5S with its big 64 bit processor would be nice but the IOS7 upgrade gives us a bit of a facelift and a lot of little updates like Camera photo changes, Airdrop (Sharing files between phones and iPads), and not much more.
